In an effort to recognizing outstanding educators in the Elizabeth City – Pasquotank Public Schools, the Foundation established a Teacher of Year recognition program in 1993. The Foundation, with funding provided by Biggs Cadillac Buick GMC Truck, recognizes the district’s Teacher of the Year with a $1000 monetary gift and a $250 gift for each of the two district finalists at the Foundation’s annual meeting.

Each year, Perry Auto Group funds the Principal of the Year, which is presented at the same time as Teacher of the Year. The 2013-14 Principal of the Year was Cynthia Morris from Elizabeth City Middle School, who was awarded $1,000 towards her school.
